City of Moreton Bay Partners with The Coffee Commune and Crunch to Transform Local Hospitality Industry

Moreton Bay, QLD – In a significant move to boost the city’s hospitality sector, City of Moreton Bay has launched Master Your Food Business, an innovative program to be delivered by industry leaders The Coffee Commune and Crunch, in collaboration with The Hospitality Company. This strategic initiative aims to elevate operational excellence and sustainability across local food service businesses, strengthening the city’s vibrant café, restaurant, and licenced venue culture.

Mayor Peter Flannery said City of Moreton Bay was renowned as a foodie destination with countless fantastic hospitality venues.

“Master your Food Business is just one part of the $1 million City of Moreton Bay Business Boost initiative which is designed to support and grow the city’s small business community,” Mayor Flannery said.

“Supporting our hospitality sector has countless flow on benefits, from adding to our great liveability, to providing even more reasons for visitors to come and enjoy the hospitality of Moreton Bay.

“Our $1 million budget commitment to support the local business community complements Council’s already generous business support initiatives and is a tangible way to help the many small businesses that are doing it tough, while also supporting ongoing employment opportunities across the City.

“City of Moreton Bay is recognised as Queensland’s most small business friendly council. We know small business plays a pivotal role in our economy, so we’re committed to doing what we can to help.”

Led by renowned industry experts Phillip Di Bella, founder of The Coffee Commune, and James O’Connell, founder of The Hospitality Company, both will deliver world-class training and mentorship to help local cafés, restaurants and licenced venues to optimise their operations, reduce costs, and build sustainable business models.

James O’Connell and Phillip Di Bella said the program represented Council’s commitment to supporting small business growth in the city.

“This partnership demonstrates City of Moreton Bay’s dedication to investing in our local hospitality sector,” says Phillip Di Bella.

“Our proven track record in the coffee industry, combined with our comprehensive training methodology, will provide participating businesses with the tools they need to thrive in today’s competitive market,” Mr O’Connell said.

“We fully engage with everything that shapes the frontline experience for owners, managers, employees, and the customer.”

Designed to give local hospitality businesses an opportunity to boost their productivity and revenue, the Master Your Food Business program will offer business owners a chance to learn from decades of valuable industry experience direct from the experts themselves.

Crunch, in collaboration with The Hospitality Company (a unique educational support platform designed specifically for hospitality business owners), will use this joint venture to offer insight into growing a profitable, sustainable business while preserving the fun and creativity that is often the driving force behind the enterprise.
